What 3 things do you wish Nissan had done to make your Micra better?

If you've had your Micra for a little while, what are the top 3 things you wish were different to improve it?

Imagine you had the ear of Nissan Canada (I'm not pretending we do, but I will pass this on if we get a good list going.)

Simple (ie. cheap) changes would probably catch their attention more than "wish it had the turbo 1.6 from the Juke". And I doubt Nissan's going to make any major changes to its marketing strategy like making A/C available as a standalone option on the base Micra S.

Example: Ant Ruby mentioned she'd like a recessed handle or grab strap in the bottom of the hatch back (so she added her own strap).

Another idea: I noticed the arm rest in the SR automatic I tested wasn't the same height as the door arm rest, which made it less comfortable to use.

    Anyone have other thoughts?

    remote locking horn beep

    Thought of another one:

The SR had remote locking/unlocking. I wish the horn didn't automatically beep every time you use the remote locking.

Other remotes I've used have "1 click = lock quietly" and "2 clicks = lock with horn beep confirmation". The signal lights flash for both methods though.

-More cubbies in and around the dash.
-Hooks in the back seat to hang good clothes.
    -Headlight washers.

In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

Wider sun visors...they are pretty much useless for blocking sun through the side windows.

I like the strap on the hatch idea.

The fuel gauge just blinking when you go under 50km's of range. Would be nice to know if you could go 48km's or only 2km's:P

That's all I have for now.

2015BlackS - does the S have slide-out sun visor extensions? The SR I drove had those. Future parts swap opportunity!

Nope, the S doesn't have the slide outs...I guess that's my punishment for being cheap:P

I wonder if I could get them from the parts counter...prolly cost a fortune though.

Could just use the cardboard and rubber band method

Anybody with the SV - do you get the extra pull-out visor section?

I did a quick search online at Crappy Tire... didn't see anything there. Rubber bands and cardboard are much more keeping with the "S" aesthetic anyway.

Yup, got the visor pull-out extension in my SV.

I've noticed that our Micra doesn't have dedicated side window defrost vents; we have to turn the side vents towards the windows. It's not winter yet, so I can't judge how much of an annoyance this may be, but I know my original Micra had dedicated side window vents.

The vehicles that have had side defrost vents haven't worked very well IMO. I usually end up pointing the vents over to defog them if its bad anyways.
