Adding a pull-down strap to the hatchback

Bruce made a fix for that hatch that I could not take anymore. I wanted him to cut that metal out and put a plastic inset like the Rogue but he would not do that to a leased car.Name: 100_6791.jpg

I love this fantastic Micra. Love the ride. Love the colour. Love the size. Love the light in the hatchback. Love the bluetooth. Love the fact the rear windows go all the way down. Love the headlights that someone took time to aim in the right places. Love the fuel filler being on the drivers side. Love that the fuel filler door locks from inside the car. (No need for key.) Love the stainless steel license bolts put on by dealer.

    Clever modification.

Hope you don't mind I split your post about the strap into a new thread - more people will see it this way.

Thanks Darin. It is a piece of tennis court string just wrapped around that plastic pin that holds the panel on.

Is the plastic pin that sturdy, or do you have to be careful pulling on it?

Daox: This post if you watch nearly all of it it shows just the handle I want on the hatch.

Nice! Where did you get the hardware and strap? Are they re-used from something else?
