Anybody got instructions on how to properly remove the factory Air intake? Silly question but I’m not very good with this stuff lol. Looking at getting the HPS CAI, ‘18 Micra SV Auto

Here's the installation instructions for the HPS short ram intake kit.
I think this should be all you need.
Cheers.

Edit: The instructions say Versa to 2016, but it fits Micra just fine (same engine/intake). I have a 2017 and it installed with no clearance or fit issues at all... It was really simple actually. 2018-19 Micras have the same engine/intake also.

2015 Micra S (manual)
no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
Feb 2015 build
9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!
1. Is it worth it?
That depends on what you're expecting for your money. It looks really nice under the hood, sounds great and really cleans up the engine compartment, so that's something...
2. Does it make more HP?
Doubtful, but if it does it's probably only a few, barely noticeable in the real world. There does seem to be better throttle response though, but this could easily be a placebo effect based on the answer to #3.
3. Does it sound like it makes more HP?
Definitely. The intake sound is great and a bit addictive, which means you're on the gas harder and more often to hear it do its thing. This might be why it feels like there's better throttle response with it installed since you're driving a little harder to get more of that satisfying intake noise. Or it actually is better... Don't know for sure.
Basically it makes driving the car more fun, which seems worth it to me.
Shrug.
