Looks bad on a lighter colored car. These cars are not even that old yet and there is the rust already. I don't know why they put this type of camera on these cars. Especially since you can get ones that fit in the license plate light or rear top brake light area. With those most people wouldn't even know they were there. Totally hidden.
I wonder if some IronX or light paint correction could get that out.
I have the same problem. I want to remove it and clean it out, and possibly spray some anti rust solution. Was also thinking that a little rust removal spray may be able to clean off the rust stain...thoughts?
Currently taking apart my hatch because of this issue. Snapped all the plastic clasps holding it in. What a disaster. Nissan won't cover it. Really ticked about this as it's the third instance I've had where they won't cover the rust. My car is a 2015 and should NOT be rusting. I spray it, wash it ect. Keep it really well maintained.
We did it. the body of the car is A OK, its the camera housing that rusted to bits. We sprayed anti rust on it after buffing it, and will be asking Nissan for a replacement piece as my car is JUST 4 years old this year. Terribly made part.
