ZCCR Motorfest 2016 (Watkins Glen/Jonathan Krenzer Memorial Car Show July 9/10 2016)

Let's invade the USA!



So I have been in contact with the Z Car Club of Rochester (ZCCR) and for the past few years they have had a big charity meet in the summer that includes lapping at Watkins Glen Intl Speedway. They are more than happy to have us come along even though our Nissans are not Z Cars.

SATURDAY July 9th: After instructions depart the Damascus Center by 8:30AM and cruise our custom route to Watkins Glen International where SCCA Super Majors Tour racing will be in full swing. As they take a break you run three-3 group laps ($35/pre-paid) on the freshly paved full-3.4 mile track at 12-Noon (yes 'the Boot' is open), return at your own pace making stops across the Finger Lakes. Then join us at 4PM back at the Damascus Center for a Meet & Steak Roast ($15 purchase day-of) with live DJ lasting until...?
SUNDAY July 10th: 9AM opening for the Jonathan Krenzer Memorial Car Show at the Damascus Center, awards commence @ 2:30PM, show-fee $15. All types of vehicles welcome, import/domestic, 2-wheels or 4, stock-modded-bagged-stanced-lifted if you're proud of it get it to the show. There's DJ music, food & equipment venders and plenty of room on the expansive grounds, show parking is with-your-crew format. Trophy's, we've got'em, 50+! The Sunday activities are a fundraising event for charity, this year benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for children, dedicated to patient care, research and education.

This is not a huge distance from either the crossing at 1000 islands or from Buffalo and it's a unique opportunity to show off our Canadian only hatchbacks! If there is enough interest I'll look into group discounts for accommodations, if not expedia and travelocity will be your best bet (I've been told to try near the airport for cheapest rates)
