If you want more exposure to your engine complaint post it on carcomplaints.com. That's one of the many locations I do research before buying a vehicle.
The 2015 Nissan Versa Note knock test video
In the video the car is at 190KM on the ODO.
The knock test is confirmed and I will be notifying the dealer about it when we switch cars. So this would make it car 8 I think.

Incredible.
We really need an explanation from Nissan about this.
I think this provides some strong evidence that it isnt a micra-specific issue. More like an HR16DE issue.

The number is well in the double digits now of affected HR16DE on this thread. Just unbelievable they're popping up at such a fast rate. I really think this is only the tip of the iceberg. There has to be some way to get some kind of explanation or even acknowledgement of the issue from Nissan Canada. They cant keep quiet forever.
Got my car back. Time will tell if it knocks.

I will be taking my car in soon. Its seems like the dealers know now and Nissan Canada doesnt.
So some type of memo was sent out but not tsb or recall. Interesting.
I think this is when we should bring as many cars in as possible so they can see the size of the problem.
Which will then ( after testing the first batch of engines, speaking with legal, crunching numbers, speaking with legal again, crunching more numbers) lead to a tsb or recall.
"Due to. Improper bearing to crank tolerence". Did you say that to them? Or is that them , saying it to you, after opening the engine?

Thats all Hunt Club Nissan but it could be Nissan Canada saying it. I wonder if they checked the tolerence. The first time I went in they recorded audio for Nissan Canada to hear. But they never mentioned if they checked or not. They had the car all day on that day. Personaly I would of loved to have been there for the swap but I think I would have taken too much time making sure things were done right.
I wrote an email about the Versa I had but the rest is up to them.

Mine is still in the shop. According to my service manager, the techinican sent a video of what is happening to the tech line. Tomorrow we should have a response on what Nissan will do.
