Boo! Looks like the Kicks has kicked the Micra to the curb:
This is according to Nissan spokesperson Claudianne Godin.The Nissan Micra will be discontinued in Canada after 2019, the Japanese automaker has confirmed with autoTRADER.ca.
It seems to come down to price - the next gen Micra (which is already on sale in Europe and elsewhere) adds too much cost to be competitive for the entry-level segment here.
Mexican production of the Canada-spec Micra will end in December, though Nissan says there will be enough cars "to satisfy consumer demand well into 2020".
