The Toronto Star Wheels section is supposedly the most widely read auto publication in Canada.
They posted a brief rundown of the Micra on their web site last week, and now there's an additional "first drive" report from writer Costa Mouzouris.
This is the only review I've read so far that criticizes the car for excessive body roll.
Pros...
- head-turning price
- hard to notice the cost-cutting from the driver's seat
- fit & finish better than you'd expect
- roomy cockpit for 6 foot driver
- surprisingly smooth & quiet ride... until you demand power
Cons...
- engine noise when passing/accelerating hard, particularly the automatic
- excessive body roll at speed, but not "sloppy"
- electric assisted steering "numb" at lower speeds
