So my shoes are done at 126500k pretty good although most of it is highway. I will put new ones on Monday when it is supposed to be a bit warmer outside. Has anyone else gone to the end on the stock shoes?

Feb 2015 build
9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!
The sound not to be confused with the squeal that they make from brake dust build up this is a grinding sound. I don't think they are any worse to work on then any other set up I mean remove the wheel then chisel off the dust cap take off the 30 mm nut pull the drum and your in then just springs and clips and adjuster like any other drum brake set up.
the bearing is in the drum and i heard thats a pain to get the drum off.

Yeah the bearing is on the inside of the drum but they came off pretty easy the last time I took them off to inspect the shoes. I will report back here after I change them.

OK I just did the drivers side.....super easy to remove the drum it was harder to remove the dust cap lol. Drivers side still had material left on the shoe that it could have went a bit longer but I decided to change them out. I was able to get wagner shoes at Peterborough automotive for $62 plus tax as CT was out of stock and the discount parts store cant even order them which I thought was weird since the versa takes the same shoes.

good news...maybe i got my wires crossed..used to the hondas where the bearing is NOT in the drum, can see how the close tolerances required for bearings and bearing mounting may cause problems,,,but not insurmountable ones....so after you take the dustcap and 30?mm bolt off you just PULL?

Just pull and then to put them back on I just used the 30mm socket on the bearing and tap with the hammer.
