Thread: DIY: Blower Motor Resistor replacement (with pics)

    Step 1 remove harness
    Step 2 remove two Phillips screws
    (mine had pink paint on the heads)
    Step 3 remove old resistor (bad one shown on right side in picture, small burn spot noticeable)
    Step 4 install new one and enjoy variable speed blower again.
    Part cost $23 all in from Rockauto shipped to Canada.Name:  20180215_150205.jpg

    No problem, I realize shipping cost was a bit high but still the cheapest I could find to receive the part in 2 days, also a small price to pay to keep the wife happy ��

    Thanks for posting this. Had spot 2 that we use all the time stop working on the blower motor. Bought a replacement at Rockauto. The Holstein part is higher $$19.60 plus shipping is up at $16.55
    Just easier to deal with a package border crossing to Canada
