Welcome!

I've seen more than a few Vehicule Gravement Accidentee (written off in Quebec) in my Kijiji alerts. Some look quite reasonable (cosmetic damage), others look a bit scary (twisted). Some of the prices are really low.
EG. this scratch & dent special for $3500: http://micra-forum.com/showthread.ph...ll=1#post18537

Nope. A used car dealership. Its what they do. They rebuild select Icbc writeoffs. I saw 3 other Micra's, a Matrix and a Honda subcompact. (I did not buy off the lot .I bought at their repairshop)
They seem to specialize in these types.
So happy.
And keep in mind guys. Its not hard to write off one of these vehicles. Pulling some dings and a repaint is 1500+ from ICBC.
It doesn't take a lot of damage to write these off.
Yes, true!
I remember reading a comment regarding "cheap" new cars like the Micra, Mirage and Spark: their initial price is low for the base car, but repair prices aren't less than other cars. So it's easier to write them off, where another car of the same age & kilometers with equivalent damage would be repaired.
This is especially true if the damage caused airbags to go off. Even the cheapest cars these days have half a dozen or more expensive airbags & sensors.
