Really like the look of the new Micra recently unveiled. Does anyone have any idea when this might coming to Canada. We would really like to buy a Micra, but I like the new version. Thanks.

Hi Rushfan -- welcome to the forum.
The new generation "K14" Micra has gone one sale in Europe, but Nissan in Canada has revealed no plans to sell it here... yet. The Micra for North & South America is made in Mexico, and it's likely both the new Euro version (made in France) and the K13 version of the car will be in production simultaneously for some time. Nissan has a history of doing this with other models.
Also, the Micra Cup is based on the K13 car, and as Pete points out, their deal with Nissan is for a 3-year run, which would mean no new Micra until at least the 2018 model year. But what about Canada, where Nissan has racked up 27,000 Micra sales in 29 months and the Micra is the brand’s second-best-selling passenger car?
“We don’t have current plans to announce for Micra in Canada for now,” Nissan Canada’s director of corporate communications, Didier Marsaud, told TTAC in an email today. “But Micra remains an important product in our portfolio in the Canadian market.”

I would have to agree with MetroMPG. I don't think we will see the new version here for a couple of years yet.
