The Globe and Mail has posted another comparison of the base $10k Micra vs. the redesigned base $10k Spark, and seems to come to similar conclusions of other reviews that we've seen.
Interior:
- Micra is a 5-seater, Spark = 4
- base Spark seat is 6-way adjustable, Micra = 4-way
- Spark design/materials are higher quality
- Micra has more cargo space, but Spark has a more useful flip/folding rear seat
Fuel economy:
- Despite the Spark having better fuel consumption ratings, both cars returned the same result during their test: 6.5 L /100 km. (Doesn't say whether this is from the displays or calculated at the pump.)
Standard features:
- Spark has the Micra beat here, with more standard features on the base car: 6-way driver's seat, cargo cover, touch screen audio, bluetooth phone & music streaming, USB port, back-up camera, more airbags, etc.
Driving:
- Micra: more power & better handling = fun
- Spark: quieter, comfortable, more refined
One thing that's interesting is the Globe reviewer didn't say the Spark's shift quality sucked, like the reviewer from The Truth About Cars did.

I see one Micra owner posted a comment under the review.
