How did you get the tip on there for the exhaust?
How did you get the tip on there for the exhaust?
It was a simple screw-in type, similar to this one:

Nice!
Luckily we drove back up Highway 93 from Radium back into Alberta on Canada Day, when the fires were just starting around Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. Now we've heard that 93 has been closed off & on, with that Verdant Creek fire. On the way back we stopped for Canada Day Birthday Cake at the Vermilion Crossing / Kootenay Park Lodge & rest area; nice place for a rest break. Hopefully they're still there...
With all the fires in BC we're probably going to stick closer to home (Edmonton) for now; we'll see where we'll take the Little Guy in the fall or winter...

Nice!
Like the exhaust tip. The wheel covers don't seem terribly different style-wise, other than a darker tint.

It's a rolled / beveled chrome tip about 3 inch exhaust with 2.5 inches at the inlet, with 3 mounting screws (you'll need an allen key). The Micra's factory exhaust tip is bent slightly downwards for the last few inches so I wasn't sure how the new tip would fit over it, but it looks like it fit great with decent clearance all the way around the factory exhast, no obstructions. No change in sound, just shinier. On sale 1/2 price at $10.
The wheel covers are those KT1021 gunmetal grey 7-spoke 15 inch ABS plastic ones that use that removable metal retaining ring on the inside. I've heard some reviews of this type of wheel cover can go flying off if you don't fasten the retaining ring correctly; I made sure to select the "inner" most position for the ring which made it slightly more difficult to carefully put these wheel covers on. But once they were on the seem pretty secure and haven't flown off the wheels yet. $30 for a set of 4, on sale about 40% off.
BTW those Nissan factory wheel covers are actually quite heavy and seem to be made of a denser but more "rubbery" feeling plastic.
Nice!
Greetings from the 2017 Edmonton Air Show, and here's our Micra, Outstanding In The Field as always!!!
My wife and I caught the air show at the Villeneuve Airport (about 40 min northwest of Edmonton) on Aug 19/17. It was a chilly & windy start to the day but it remained sunny, so good pictures & vids of the performers and the Snowbirds. We parked the Little Guy along with everyone else in a farmer's field at one end of one of the runways they closed (see the lighted "X" in the distance) for the static aircraft displays, dirt bike stunt ramps, military vehicle displays and the food truck village. Overall decent day for plane watching, especially the old warbirds flying in formation (P-38 Lightning, Corsair, P-40E Kittyhawk and the P-51 Mustang) and of course The Snowbirds...
