That might be why your car struggle. All the automatic cars ive had in the past. They never seem to be in the gear you want to car to be in
I have a 5speed trans and im seriously impressed with it, this car blows me away with my camper and kayak im still able to keep highway speed on cruise with most hills, the larger ones have me downshiffting but it really doesnt have a hard time with it at all, but i have spent some time finding the right set up as well. Also from AB
This is all so confusing. I feel like to get a thule setup new, it will cost me 700 dollars. I can get used q31 towers with bars and everything for 150 bux on craigslist but there's no way to fit to our car!? Fuuuuxk that. Then, these g3 things everyone here got are reasonably priced but only fit every other micra!? What's a boy to do???

I found the Yakima Q Tower with 102 Clips fits. it turned out to be the same fit as the G3 rack on other cars. I had a set from previous cars and figured i'd try and fit them.
Used the instructions from the G3 fit guide for basic starting place. it was pretty close really.
they been on for a couple months. no issues fit secure.

No Problem,
one word of caution with Yakima Qtower racks...Theclear plastic/rubber foot degrades in time...you can buy them new, but as they degrade the leave marks on the paint that are hard to get off then dirt and grime get in them and the rack goes back up and then you scratch the paint up over time...
I've solved this somewhat by applying clear vinyl to the mounting area.

From Mick's Garage, $130 Canadian. We were surprised how substantial / heavy they were, they proved to be quite sturdy holding a full 18 cubic foot cargo pod:
Nice!

I just installed a new set of roof bars and a cargo basket. More for aesthetics as the Micras roof doesn’t seem substantially reinforced. It’ll work for like light camping gear.
