    Tein Suspension Update.

Hey guys, got the full kit in now. It is as low as it can go up front with this kit, but the springs may settle a tad. The rear can go lower, but I will wait and see how the fronts settle.

The ride and feel is much improved from the ebay springs/stock shock set-up. It is more solid and yet handles the bigger bumps better. Very happy, I think even the most sissy butt driver would be happy with the nice tight/firm ride.

    reposting progression pics:

    1) stock front springs, ebay lowering springs in back, stock 15'' wheels.
    2) ebay springs front/rear, stock 15'' wheels.
    3) ebay springs front/rear, 16'' wheels.
    4) Tein springs/shocks, front /rear 16'' wheels.

EDIT: hmm just looked at the pics and realized it is hard to see the lowering with the Tein kit. Must be the angle of the shots. It is at least 15mm lower in the front and very noticeable IRL.

EDIT: Pic #5, #6: Hopefully, these pics show the stance better? Amateur photographers motto, or how Yogi Berra might have put it:I can see the pic I want... I just have trouble taking it

For those who want to compare: the wheel arch to centre of wheel is ~325mm front and rear. (Forget what mine measured stock).

Great to hear! And that is a most excellent looking Micra.

The steelies give it a nice, retro economy car feel, but the size & stance is modern.

    Salt flats Micra???

Added some more pics to above post, to try and show off the stance better.

Could someone save me a trip to the dealer and measure the distance from wheel arch to centre of wheel on your stock Micra? Front and rear...
    Thanks!

did you lower your ride yet? i am intrigued. i would like to minimize the gap between car and rubber.
    without compromising too much.

Everything is a compromise. My guess is, if he ever throws in the Eibachs, they will be just about the same as my cheapie e-bay springs. It will lower the car, but the front strut bumpers will take a beating if you're not careful. The struts on the stock Micra are just too long for the car to be lowered much. This is an off the shelf strut (they are only made in so many sizes), Nissan should have chosen the next length shorter. Bit of a screw-up, but would cost too much to change mid stream. (or end stream now as a new Micra is due anyway.)

Hey Mike, I still have the springs but they are not worth shipping or anything. I would not recommend them anyway as you say you're building an ''AutoCross'' car? Not sure what that is, but it sounds like some kind of racing and these springs won't do you any favours if that's what you're up to. Better to track down a Micra race car suspension, that should be easy.
