That Nismo S-tune kit is also shown on the JDM site. Not sure how much better it will be because I can't read the Japanese PDF, but it doesn't look anywhere near as beefy as the Tein kit.

Here are a couple pics of the sway bar links brackets a friend made for me. Powder coated finish, 1/4'' steel. They are designed to put the link end in the same position as stock, relative to the strut bolts. Will let you all know how it works out...

EDIT: Longer bolts. Stock bolts are long enough to accommodate the thick Tein mounts (stock mounts are thin stamped steel) but with the extra bracket, it is close to running out of thread.

EDIT: re post pic of stock set up.

    Aha! Very problem-solvy!

I know someone who speaks/reads Japanese. Want me to ask him for info about the Nismo pdf?

I don't think he would be your friend for very long if asked to wade through all that tech mumbo jumbo! There is a pant load of info on the Japanese site, seems to be much more detailed than what they give us rednecks. Anyway, I have a hunch that the Nismo S suspension is the same as what we get, maybe different damping values, but other than that the shocks/struts/springs look the same as what we have.

You don't think it looks lowered? (Those are 15's on it, but I'm not sure of the aspect ratio since the slick size is 190/580-15.)

Hey Darin, to me it does not look lowered, subjective obviously, but the original pic in the other thread it's easier to see. Here is a pic of the Nismo S-Tune suspension. I know we can't see spring/damping rates, but to my eye, it looks exactly like the stock suspension on my car.

EDIT: oops...the rear springs look the same but just checked my fronts and there seems to be one less coil. The strut bodies don't look any shorter though.

Hmm. Check the line between the wheel centers compared against the bottom edge of the doors:

Some of that might be from camera angle, but I don't think it can account for all of the difference.

It looks like the race prepped one has no side skirts as well.. so that kinda adds to the illusion that it may not be lowered.

I see what you mean there Darin, but the pic of the red car seems to be taken from a much lower perspective.

It would be logical to assume that it is lowered somewhat, but it just doesn't look like it to my eyes.

Little off topic. But at least now we know for sure what's behind that little door.
