scratched side skirt

Hi,

I am having a serious problem with these side skirt and my boyfriend's big boots. He scratched a lot of it with his boots. Does any one have a suggestion how to cover the side skirt so that it still look good but protect it from scratches?

On my side there is not a single scratch because I am carefull but he does not care. He removes the snow from his car with a shovel, so that show how much he cares about a car. argggg...

It is that or he does not set foot in my car again. I am very pi**** off!

Have you tried the clear 3M films? You can buy them in rolls for custom applications. With the remainder, maybe cover the soles of his boots? ;-)

I don't think it's even just the soles that are the problem, but all the clip and things on the side of the big baffin boots.

I looked at the 3M film and I think I will use that. sounds really good, thanks!

Normally eBay, but car shops often have them to. I wouldn't be surprised, that the guys that did your strips can sell you some as well. Try Lebeau, vitres d'auto. If they do tinting, they may sell protection.

The one thing that pissed me off this winter was the slush. With the black interior, the door panels and the foot well, got so dirty with greyish scum. Even the speaker holes are full of them! Once clean, I'll try to figure a way to keep it clean.

I put a thick plastic covering the whole carpet area, so no problem with this for me but the speakers are a pain. I can't cover them since that will cut off the sound too...not sure what to do with them.

I found some 3M paint protection film on ebay, but it's quite expensive, around 70$ to do both side skirts.

Problem is, he's the best thing in my life, so that's not an option. Once I put the film, then I won't mind this problem. Now if only I could put something to protect my door panels from dents...
