    4. Current issues... a wheel speed sensor is intermittent which takes out the abs and stability control. Also there is a CEL on currently which last night sent it into limp mode. Just waiting for my new scan tool to arrive to find out what that is all about.

Honestly for the way I toss and pound this little car around it has held up remarkably well.Like Caspean sea said the front end is still straight and true noise free.

@Duffy49 Did you change your plugs yourself? If so was it a big deal to take the intake off?

    #1: camshaft position sensor ?

@Aguim It was a solenoid that put valve timing back in the low r.p.m. position. When it goes you get a CEL and the car runs rough at low r.p.m. other than the CEL being on if you kept the car above around 2000-2500 r.p.m. you would never know anything was wrong with it.

Thanks, I didn't know that this 'basic' engine had any kind of Variable Cam Timing !

Also, first thing I'd do to a Micra : remove those exhaust heat-shield bolts and treat them with anti-seize. Same
with a whole lot of nuts&bolts. This will save plenty of pain later on.

If I speed up like I would in any other car, the engine gets REALLY loud, is this normal? 33 700 km 2015 SV 5 speed.

I would suggest for you to make a thread about this and you can get a quicker, better answer.

Hi...I actually had a shop do it because I don't have a garage and it was really cold out, haha. Lots of advice on youtube for DIY.
I also had a problem with the undercar heatshield that needed tightening. starting to rattle again so under we go to see if we can McGyver it again.

We are at 170K and have to do the front brake pads (did the rotors last fall). We also had a "limp mode" issue this winter, but it was a loose gas cap. Seemed tight but turned out it needed a bit of tapping it to make it engage properly. Reset the engine codes and it is now fine. We did a complete undercoat this fall and new Michelins for the winter...hope to keep the car well past 300K. cheers to all the forum members

@duffy49 Well you sir have around the same amount of seat time as I do in a k13 Micra except i have done my hundred and seventy odd thousand in three different Micras.
I know what is involved and how to change the plugs and that is why I will put that off until at least 150 thousand K lol

Hell yeah we are keeping them till well past 300 thousand K!!!

These things are the early 90's civics all over again that is why I bought my first red Micra S back in 2014 because it reminded me of the 93 to 95 red civic hatches I owned and loved. I sold my last car (Acura integra) with 525000 K's running strong like new.
