Poll: did you use this forum to research your Micra decision?

We just heard from a happy new member who came to the forum to get some real life research before pulling the trigger on a base S Micra:

I did check out this forum quite a bit when I was shopping around, for reviews and real-people impressions. Lots of happy customers and not a lot of complaints, so it seemed like a good option. I'm only 7 days in but I'm happy so far!

I know we get a lot of visits from people searching for Micra info; of course more people are researching and then NOT registering afterward, but I'm curious if anybody else here did the same thing as krssctt.

i did come across this forum before getting my micra....but only little, such that it really had no influence on my buying decision.

it's a cozy little community, tho

I always search through owner forums before I buy. Though I tend to buy older models so there's a lot more information to be found (common problems, reliability issues etc.).

I did come to read what the owners had to say about the car, however, I had already made the deal so.... uhm, I might have done the procedure in the wrong order, Lol.

3 and 4 were not actually ''no'', but I did get info from other sources and also knew I was getting a Micra regardless.

I mean, 10K for a new car by an established brand? A Micra would have to be pretty lousy to derail that train of thought.

Forum is very helpful and interesting.

I joined 7 days prior to deposit being made, and about 10 days after they started to look for the car.

I didn't research the Micra prior to purchase, but preferred it over 2 competitors I looked at.

I planned on buying a new car by August. when my conditional pass expired but saw the Nissan Sale last December and bought then instead.

Had I done my homework prior to purchase and read the valuable posts on this forum, I would not have purchased the useless rust module, and possibly not the extended warranty. I would have negotiated more also. Live and learn, and happy to find the Micra Forum!
