Cant you get deeper bass from reversing the polarity? This is one of those "a friend told me" things it kinda worked on a boom box. But id be worried id damage them
You won't damage your speakers by reversing your polarity, just they will suck in when they should push out. Make sure they are all wired the same so they all push or suck simultaneously (in phase). Can't see it giving deeper bass.
Spacers or grommets will work with a similar diameter to your mounting screw, take a screw to brafasco or home depot and search for something.
Im scratching my head again.
My deck is in, the sub is hooked up, the capacitor voltage matches the cars voltage.
But no sound. I have not wired the car speakers yet.
I have no antenna plug.
Could it simply be that until the antenna is plugged into the deck the deck wont pass sound?
Or that the speakers arent connected so the sub ( rca plugs ) wont get sound?
My fuses are fine, my cap is working, all wires needed for the sub are connected. Whats going wrong?
It was working fine when i disconnected it a few years ago.
Wow so its been a while since ive hooked up subs n i made a rookie mistake.
I have the ground on the cap going from earth to cap & cap to sub :$
Sub needs its own ground. Not to the cap. Oh well ill play with it in am
the power supply to the amps circuit board is poo, and the power on led light is shorted out.
So i dont know, i guess unless i can make a better connection its no going to work
So close yet so far away.
So i might have an amp i can try this morning. Lets see what happs.
