Thanks Atwas. And this ScanGauge monitor connects to the ODB-II port?

What's the size of the speakers, 6.5" round? Do all speaker sets come with some sort of mounting brackets to adapt to factory ones? Can 10" fit in the doors?

    Hello lbarouf:

The speaker size is 6.5" the speaker model I used is "Pioneer speakers model TS-G1722i" and yes they came with speaker mounting adapters. I don't believe there is room for 10" speakers without some serious modifications to the door panels. As for the Scanguage is does connect to the ODBII port.

Just upgraded the speakers to Pioneer 4-way speakers. The factory speakers are only 2 ohm impedance though (usual for car speakers is 4). So this means without upgrading the head unit or adding in an amplifier, new speakers are going to lose the "punch" but I am glad to have more clarity at higher volumes.

I just bought the same speakers as you ptbo micra. I can't wait to hear them in the car! Are you satisfied with yours?

Also, is there some kind of speaker harness available (like this) or do I need to cut the oem connector?

Also, in the front, you will need to space the speakers inboard by about 1/8" to 1/4" so they will not foul on the windows when they go down.

for the speakers I just used the 9V battery technique to find out the polarity of the factory speakers and went from there.

So i guess when its the proper polarity is makes sound.
I guess the rest is multimeter and process of elimination.

I KNOW the thick yellow is the constant 12v
Orange and blue are usually illumination and anntenna respectively.
The pink is throwing me. So are the 2 black wires. One on the main harness and one by itself on a seperate clip.
I think the one on the seperate clip is the ground. Not that it matters ill make my own ground.
So is pink acc 12v? - multimeter will tell.
Is is a dimmer? Are all the blacks grounds? I guess ill find out.
