the chrome muffler cap came from Canadian Tire for $18
the car is going in for window tints tomorrow

Looks good. Did you see an improvement in terms of inside temperature summer time? I'm thinking of doing this to lower the inside temperature with this black interior!

Looks good, I've been wanting to get the windows tinted on my Micra, but the dealership advised me against it because the local police have been giving motorists a hard time with window tint and forcing them to remove it.

I think it depends on the level of tint, doesn't it?

A quick search reveals something interesting: in Quebec, the tint percentage is defined, but in Ontario it isn't.

Quebec:

In Quebec, the front side windows have to let in at least 70 per cent of light.

Ontario:

"Window tinting is addressed in sections 73 and 74 of the (Highway Traffic Act) whereby the surface of the windshield or any side window to the left or right of the driver cannot be coated with any colour spray or other colour coating in such a manner as to obstruct the driver's view of the roadway, or obscure the view from outside to the interior of the motor vehicle," says Ministry of Transportation spokesman Bob Nichols in an email.

So you're OK to tint the rear 3 windows, but too much tint on the front doors might get you in trouble.
