Rust on my Micra.......:(

Perhaps it was the light shining just at the right angle, but I noticed today the very start of rust along the leading edge of the frame of the back hatch.........seems to be surface, and no staining of the paint, but obviously its something that needs to be taken care of pronto. I have noticed the paint on this car is very brittle, and Im wondering if this could be sand, dirt, or salt that has sandblasted the paint layer off.....allowing bare metal to show through.....
The car was bought near new in Jan 2021, and was manufactured in 2019, so I guess its coming up to its 6th anniversary of manufacture....

Has anyone experienced this with their Micra, or perhaps its just the extraordinary brittleness of the white paint they used? Im sure the car sat for a long time before purchase, as there was green algae inside the hatchback frame when I purchased the car in Jan 2021.
