Anyone run into having the tempature knob turn hard to adjust interior temature? This suddenly happened today. Bent cable maybe? Bad control switch?
You thoughts would be apprciated.

i always turn mine VERY slowly and about 8 times a year, unsure if its a cable or tiny gears and tiny motor, might still be cable. unsure if its possible to lubricate the valve in the heater cable (like a shutoff valve in the house under the sink)
may advice would be ....turns ssssllllllllooooooowly....and live with it....mine seems to be getting stiffer....(the knob)....in the car....it makes sense it will get stiffer as car ages, just dont BREAK anything.
2015 Micra S (manual)
no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
Feb 2015 build
9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

i suspect your right.....the 97 prelude, i tried to lubricate the cable/valve but it was still a 2 hand job ...and a prayer...at the end...we are only 18 years off that....my son says this is literally the last car I will own.lol...he might be correct

I have taken apart the climate controls twice in my Micra. The cable is inside a sleeve and should not require lubrication. The cable sleeve has either detached from the clips that hold it in place or something is binding - either at the HVAC control module or at the other end of the cable where it attached to the air blend door.
