Micra key not turning in ignition

What can I do to get the key to turn in the ignition?
It just did this randomly.
Will not turn. Stuck at parking lot.
Please advise.

Is the wheel turned sharply? Not straight?

Is it an automatic? If so switch through the gears a few times before going back into park. Generally, if wiggling the steering wheel while gently trying to turn the key doesn't work, try some graphite lubrication if you have some.
