    Throttle Body Spacers

As controversial as a topic, does anyone have any thoughts on throttle body spacers?

Found some cheap ones on aliexpress & figure 40$ might be worth giving it a shot...

Sounds good. Thread to be continued.

Planned for when I have the intake manifold off for my spark plug change.

They are for a couple different reasons, 1 change the airflow
    2 cools the fuel

A throttle body spacer is considered a tool to increase the power of torque, horsepower, and fuel economy. It will help to direct the flow of air into the manifold to increase the volume that enters the intake system. Improving horsepower is one of the main benefits of installing the throttle body spacer.

Exactly & yes, it's a cheap mod that I'll take a chance with my butt-dyno in hopes to perhaps increase throttle response somewhat without a tune or controller... that said, it's 36$ & for those who are interested... here's what I got from Ali Express... Name: image0(16).jpg

Install to be done in spring with my spark plug change at 54,000kms. Throttle bore seems large for this size engine. Was going to use this is a physical template to match up bolt pattern for larger Nissan throttle bodies at the junkyard.

    Thread to be continued...

im puttin a dollar a week in the cookie jar to save already..if your disappointed with results,I'll just get dinner at chipotle instead. so if 1 spacer is good 3 is better, right?..i could probably afford 1 extra spacer per year

54 k for the spark plugs....i think my plan is 120-160.....i think i'll be dead before i reach that.

I actually just checked my owner's manual and I'm not due for a spark plug change until 120,000km's!!!... #witchcraft! I'm old school in my 41 years of life... I'm used to changing plugs every fourth oil change. Anyway, spacer install to happen soon.

im seein some things that maybe 120 is a stretch...im thinking 70 more realistic, but im installing unobtatium coated plugs then so should be good to coffin time.

I'm on the edge of my seat with the spacers...U say its better...ITS GO TIME!!!

Where do I get me some of these?! Lol, all joking aside, I've always been a fan of simple copper spark plugs for best performance, but have been recently reading great things about Ruthenium plugs... Thoughts?

As for throttle body spacer install: Car is getting it's oil change and wash/wax detailing first. Weather hasn't been all that great for my days off here in Ottawa, but dreaming of better days #all work is done myself.

Side note: I changed from my winter tires to my summer wheels last week... My front brakes aren't doing so well. 54.000km's and I have 30-40% pad life left... but am more concerned for the rust on the rotors. I'll make a separate post on this eventually on this... But does anyone know the micra cup pads model # that they run?

For those who are following - I installed my 36$ Throttle body spacer today

Super easy install. Haven't really test drove it since, but the placebo effect and a half-hour of tinkering with the car is definitely worth the price
