Temp Control Knob

Hey guys,

I have an issue with temp knob and I was wondering if yours rotates hot and cold. Mine only rotates in hot and stops. I have the Micra S version with no A/C. Even with the other control knob off it still blows a little bit of hot air.

Hi & just for clarification... can you describe what it means when you say ' wondering if yours rotates hot and cold' ? ie: are you not able to move your dial to 'cool'?

Yea, not able to move the dial to the cool position. It won't turn left in the blue. Is this normal? How can that be? Thanks

nope thats not normal...you should have rotated it twice a year like the tires. the knob moves a shutoff valve in the coolant line///mechanically or electronically,sometimes the valve gets hard to move...you COULD crank harder,if its mechanical that MAY work...i move the valve twice a year so not to wear it out...hot air in winter, not hot air in summer

Ok thanks, that's what i thought. Even the fan isn't working. Made an appointment for this friday to see if the mechanic can fix it all. Cheers

hmmm...the air handling unit is some weird unfixable lump according to nissan canada i have been led to believe they will probably quote 600 to replace the entire thing
