Off Road Tires, but Y tho.

After getting a $6000 quote from maaco to fix the Alberta rock chip damage to my $10,000 car, Im debating spraying the whole thing with bedliner in my garage and throwing on big tires to make a battle car. Not thinking truck nuts or f trudeau stickers as is the custom here but has anyone else thought about it? Ground clearance seems good already and looks like lots of room to fill in those wheel wells, I wonder what’s the biggest tire size that one could fit in there without lifting it? Obviously regearing is out of the question, but its a manual so I can adjust my driving and acceleration expectations. 205/70/15 a/t?

your thoughts are not incorrect, there is someone here who has "offroaded" with impressive results. i wonder how high you can lift it....probably not much without some impressive custom fab brackets....i cant help any with the tire size...205/40/17 no problem
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

    Wait what, $6000?!

I literally had my windshield removed, pillars and roof re-painted and re-clear coated and windshield re-installed from Maaco for $1400 taxes in (15% of that is HST) to repair rock chip and subsequent rust damage.

    How are they getting $6000?!

And yeah, the Micra probably could get even higher ground clearance, it already has similar or better ground clearance than many "SUVs" being sold today by most auto makers.
