Yeah this seems correct. Mine is the same. The Micra seems like it could use a 6th gear for the manual gear box, though I'm assuming the ratio was chosen because it still provides good hill climbing & economy compromise?

From memory though: my old 5 speed 2.0L (8 valve, 115 hp) Golf was also buzzy at highway speeds, though it was a lot heavier and slower than the Micra is.

Oddly I found that if you go a bit faster than 100 km/h (like 110 as the highways are here), it seems to quiet down a bit which is odd because you think it would be a linear progression of more rpms = more noise, but no.

Mine is a 2018 AT. At 100 km\h the RPM is at 2600. Manual at 100 km\h is supposed to be 3000.

yup....confirmed this morning, i guess thats why i usally go about 80max at like 2500ish...mabye ill try 110 on advice, should get me places faster too!
