    Injector programming

    Hi all. I drive a 2011 k13 1.5dci micra and engine check ligte came on. Did a leak test on injectors and one was bad. Charge it and neem to program it.what is best software to purchase to do this

    wouldnt the ecu tell it what to do? did it say it needed programming ? im lost...its a light switch...only the ecu could be programmed i assume only nissan can do that

    Yes you are right. The Ecu needs to be programmed with the dara of the new injector. For that i neem software

    That's really not a thing we have experience with. All but a few of us have cars that use the HR16DE petrol engine.

    If you bought the correct injector, the specifications shouldn't have changed, and you shouldn't need reprogram anything, unless there's some sort of DRM to deal with.

    I really don’t think you’ll have to set the trim code on a gasoline injector, not like a diesel

    Ah, so that is a thing with diesels then? The DCi engine is diesel, so that's probably what we're looking at.

    A guy on that forum seems to have had some success using a Foxwell OBDII tool to program that. That's a really expensive tool though, so might be better to just have it programmed at the shop.

    I’m not a 100% sure, but diesel engines that have ecm controller will need to have the trim code programmed.

    Saying that i have seen diesel engines run just fine without doing the program
