Micra Prices(at least in BC) are going through the roof!....

This is 10K more than the exact same car I purchased a year and a half ago.....with 3K on the odometer.

i paid 10k brand new and you cant even get a used on for that ...of the 4 ads there are on craigslist...weirdly EVERY micra for sale seems to be rebuilt,my guess its they get written of for a bumper scratch !!
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

I subscribe to Kijiji alerts for Micras under $4500, and I've hardly seen any in the past 6 or 8 months.

I like to post them in Kijiji & Craiglist: cheap used Micras for sale

The last cheap one I posted was $2400 , but had over 450,000 km on it! (So is it really "cheap"??)

I saw this one for sale the other day......but its about 7 grand more than what I paid for basically the same car(without the appearance package) and practically the same mileage....https://www.abbotsfordnissan.com/use...id11657603.htm

I just realized these have to be stock photos....there is no way that is a 2019.....not quite as advertised.....

Just picked up a 2015 SV sale price from 11,995 to 9,995 100,000kms best deal around by far I couldn’t they’re like 13-17k depending on year and models it’s insane. This isn’t a car that should retain resale value but the market is just outrageous

Well I guess you can take solace in knowing you have a small car that if you service it regularly, its pretty much bullet proof, even at 100K. I have absolutely become a Micra fan.....Its zippy, comfy, not too noisy, and has as much or more headroom than my Honda Element. I have owned mine for a year and nine months now....with zero breakdowns or repairs(ok, they did replace a tail-light bulb- on warranty) My one complaint would be that it uses a bit more gas in stop and go driving than I would like, but to be fair, I live in a very hilly town. I suspect my gas economy would be better if I had a manual transmission, but I have bum left leg, so that made it out of the question.
I watched Scotty Kilmer's Youtube program the other day, and someone asked him about the Nissan Micra(which is odd because they weren't sold in the States) but he actually didnt have many bad things to say about them....which for Scotty and Nissan, is almost akin to a miracle. Hope you enjoy your Micra as much as Im enjoying mine.

I had a 2004 Toyota Echo RS hatchback, ultra rare automatic version of the RS too. It never once had an issue even with less than perfect maintenance, 12-13 years of ownership from 2400kms when purchased i lost her with well over 400,000kms. It was everything you described especially on gas….I was hoping this moves would be everything the same and so far it is…it’s a little smaller but much quicker and more fun. Low pro bro LOL.

I just sold a 2012 Mazda2 five speed stick with 96 thousand on the clock. Only thing it didn’t have was AC

Having a little bit of sellers remorse about letting it go.
