Welcome, Micra owner 2.0......I do have to say the appearance package with the alloy wheels spiffs up our little cars appearance......Mine didnt have the appearance package, but I did buy some OEM 15 inch alloy wheels from an auto wrecker, and I sure like the improved appearance.....

Terrain, traffic, temperature, wind... and the right foot ... all have a big impact.
Love my 2015 manual SR. I'm getting 7.5L/100 as per the dash. 90% city driving with a very heavy foot.

If you can find a Toyota hybrid on their hybrid platform they are actually getting about 6L/100KM on them (Sienna, etc) which is amazing and Toyota has the hands down best hybrid reliability.
Our 2015 SV automatic gets 6.8L/100km city on premium fuel. Easy on the budget and the Micra is not a $40 grand car.

Unfortunately, I did not. The car was in horrible condition so I drove home empty handed. I did a find another 2019 Micra (same trim) and looked at it today. I pickup tomorrow, so I will report back then.

I drive mainly highway (average is 90km/hr) so I’m hoping for mid 6 for fuel economy. I’d be ok with 7L/100km too. Just trying to save as much money on fuel as possible until I buy a BEV.

90 average, or 90 cruising speed? 90 cruising speed is pretty economical.

Bummer about the first car, but glad you found another one so quickly!

I was pretty disappointed. The car had 9,000km on it but was not cared for whatsoever. There was tree sap all over the roof and hood, 2 out of the 4 rims were heavily corroded and the front bumper cover was scuffed up pretty badly. Even one of the rear seat belts was frayed from it being pinched while folding the seat back. With used vehicle prices being at an all time high, I was unwilling to pay a premium price for such a neglected vehicle. I would never deal with Barrie Nissan again based on this experience.

I've been looking on Kijiji and Auto Trader daily. It all worked out because the new car I found that is the exact trim (built Sep 2019) with a clean history and only 9600km. I saw the car today and it looks brand new, which is what I wanted. It also closer to where I live. The best part was the dealer gave me an extra $2000 for my trade and the car was $1000 less than the first one.

Speed limits range from 70-80km/hr but 85-90km/hr is the norm. My CX-5 gets 8.2-8.5L/100km on this route driving conservatively, so I'm hoping the Micra will be below 7. It may not seem like much savings, but at $1.90/L (today) and driving between 50,000-60,000km/year the savings will add up modestly.
