I found the problem the clutch cable attached to the lever is not firmly attached it will slid right off which would leave me unable to release the clutch. I take it it pops over the ball on the end of its post that part is broken so it moves freely along the post very scary as it could fall right off. I zip tied it to the clutch pedal. It works like new and I have to get used to it releasing much earlier and engaging way later.

Does it smell when you release it. It will start slipping in 5th gear on a hill my Volvo did and I changed it but it was rear wheel drive. Good luck changing it I read it is a 10 hr job. Do you plan on buying a Nissan clutch

It has taken ages for the computer to reprogram fuel air mix it was too rich and took 10k of driving reset fault daily idled fine knew throttle position but since it was running it was really slow to learn and adjust for more air

Gary: thanks for updating on what was wrong with your clutch.

This is a first. Are you going to change the cable? Any chance you could post a photo of the broken end?
