Question on hps air filter cleaning

My hps filter has gotten pretty dirty over the time I’ve had it and I want to clean it and on their website they’re all sold out of their cleaning kits, but I do have a k&n kit to clean and re-oil the filter but I’m just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on if using their product will work well for the hps filter? I think it should be fine but just wanted some input before I went ahead. Thanks in advance

As far as I know, the HPS intake uses a K&N cone filter so the cleaning kit you have should work perfectly! I used the same cleaning and oil kit on my filter.

It’s a cotton filter with metal mesh and it does look just like a lot of K&n cone filters but it also has a big hps logo on the top of it so I think it’s their own filter but I’m going clean it today anyways.... both companies use the same filter material so their cleaning products can only vary so much I’d imagine

Oh really? My mistake then, my HPS intake kit came disassembled with the K&N filter in its own labelled box. For sure, that kit will definitely get the job done.

Here’s a nice little before and after of what the cleaning solution did it defiantly worked well, just waiting for it to dry fully and then I’ll apply the oil I’m happy with this so far
