Protecting A/C Condenser From Rock Damage

I do a lot of highway driving since I live in the county. I travel about 60,000km/year and my vehicles typically see a lot of rocks hitting the front end. I installed added protection for the condenser by using a plastic mesh intended for usual use as a gutter guard.

The front bumper cover of the Micra is very easy to remove and takes about 10 minutes.

The gutter guard is made out of a UV resistant plastic that is about $7.00 for a 20ft roll. It works great and will last the life of the vehicle. I secure it using some zip ties.

Looks awesome for sure will add protection but did you noticed any aerodynamic issues at high speeds? Because of added surface it should block incoming air and air resistance at that point will require power to be wasted to overcome that resistance. Less air in means air cooling deficiency too.

But again u did great job! Looks nice
