I think the parts are the same or very similar to the Versa. So unless that is being cancelled to, we should be okay. I also thought that the Car Companies were required by law go keep parts available for a certain period of time..... That could be wrong.

you can buy a 2020 on the mexican nissan website

    186,600 Mexican Peso equals
    12,618.28 Canadian Dollar

possible our cars will increase in value as collector status, actually it looks like someone should buy all the canadian ones and sell them in mexico!!

    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

Glad mine (2015) is low mileage (45K) and never winter driven in that case. Already driving my winter salt eater and the Micra is in a dry warm place. It is a long shot but you may be right, they just may go up in value.

So glad I got one when I did. The alternatives didn't hold water in my opinion. Just put Winters on and the black steelies look coooool on a black Micra

I wonder what happens with the Micra cup in Canada after production ceases. Would be nice to see some Micra Cup cars up for sale to the public.

Looks like the Versa is cancelled as well.

Nissan is putting the brakes on its Versa Note compact hatchback: the little car will go off the market in Canada and the U.S. at the end of the 2019 model year. Only the Versa Note hatchback is sold in Canada. The sedan version was discontinued here in 2014, but has remained on sale for U.S. buyers. Apr 8, 2019

Yet strangely, the US is getting the next-gen Versa sedan, which is based on the same platform as the next-gen (to us) Micra hatchback.

Micra cup is safe through 2020, from what I read:

Thread: Coupe Micra Cup confirmed for 3 more years, through 2020

I'm not sure I'd want to buy a used Micra Cup car, though! Definition of rode hard & put away wet!

I do wonder what will become of them though -- are there other open series where owners could still race them? Or is there any point if the factory isn't behind the series?

Not sure I would want to buy one either, a least for a daily driver, and for the same reasons. Just the thought of buying a former "race car" intrigues me. Or if it was going cheap to have access to the parts
