Yeah, I've read that running the tank very low often is hard on the pump (supposedly gets hot when not submerged).

What is your driving habits? Do you run the car empty? Most of the time, some of the times? Type of gas?87 or 91
Good question, running very low on gas can over heat the pump as there is little to help keep it cool.

I never let it go below half a tank, this allows for the pump to always be sitting in a bath a of fuel. I feel like i proved it with a civic (1997) i have owned for 22 years and still on the original fuel pump.

Jumping in on this in the hope that during your fuel pump work you came across this info.

I've googled the hell out of this and just cannot get an answer. The car (K12, petrol, 2005) seems to be behaving as if no fuel is getting through and I suspect the fuel pump relay. However, I can't find any information on its location. It's not under either of the side kickplates in the front footwells (as with the K11). I'm beginning to wonder if it has a dedicated relay or if it's part of what the ECM relay does (in the 'hidden' fuse box behind the left headlight). Any help greatly appreciated.
