    Keys--lost-!!!!--and found!!!!---and now nervous!!

So i "lost" my keys for a day and found them, but in that day im going crap, is this going to cost 300 dollars?.

i have the S..its just a key with no buttons, but obviously its a chip key..legally has to be since 2007...

    now i want a 3rd spare key..lol

    Whats the cheapest option?

(besides taping one chip key to the inside of the ignition switch and just using 3 dollar cut keys)

    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

You could chance a key from eBay. Hopefully it isn't difficult to program the keys on your own. That was always an expensive thing for the dealer to do.

thats the rub....its probably an inexpensive thing for the dealer to do...but will charge a fortune.

buying a key with a philips 46 chip is probably pretty cheap...but its the programming

When I bought my Versa used it only had one key come with it. I ordered 2 blanks off of eBay for $13.29 and took them to the local hardware store where they cut them for me for $1. each. I programmed them myself using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iZZ8x63ytA and they both worked flawlessly. I have also read of some Nissan owners having a standard non transponder key cut and their car started with just a standard key like all cars used in past years.
