Bought a new micra in early 2015, currently at 27k. I had the original battery fail on me last winter, a cracked drive belt (Not entirely sure the dealer wasn't just fleecing me), the cabin blower motor is acting up and will need replacement, the driver side mirror is vibrating slightly, and it was in the shop 3 times under warranty for excessive rattling. Only modification done was a third party remote starter installation. Otherwise it's working fine. Haven't noticed any substantial oil loss.

hey Dustin....wow,lots of issues...our 2015 has had better luck. we did have it into the dealer a few times when new for headliner "crackling" noised but finally resolved with injected glue. other than that it has been very dependable and repair free. New battery at about 175000Km, plugs at 150km...front brake pads same mileage and a few exhaust welds. I do think that we replaced the belt around the same time other than that it has been regular oil and filter changes, new brake and transmission fluid once. Now at 230000km and using a bit of oil between changes. otherwise good.

Yeah I kind of got a lemon, but at least the engine's been reliable. Granted it's only at 27k so maybe that'll change. They never did fix the headliner issue on mine. They tried a foam solution, and it had mediocre results at best. Thought I had more time to have it addressed with the bumper-to-bumper warranty, but the dealership said it was only 3 years not 5 as I thought. Can't find any paperwork that specifies the duration, either.

Thats not a lemon its a "economical car"...mine makes all sorts of things rubbing and squeaking especially after i have jacked it up....there is probably a leaf in your blower motor....for the price..i wouldn't complain if its reliable, just turn up the radio...the mirrors arent stellar, but mine dont vibrate..its 3 years bumper to bumper...pretty standard
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

Alas, my first serious problem has come up. I just passed 200k last week. On Friday night my clutch hit the floor and didn't come up. Did y'all know we have a concentric one-piece clutch slave cylinder/release bearing?

What would be a $100 job is going to be 1500 because the whole clutch assembly has to come out.

Strongly considering replacing clutch while he's in there, although i do like the feel of my old clutch!

I had my 2015 Micra 5 years with 50,000 km.Only issue was my first pair of headlight bulbs lasted less tham 6 months. Also the heatshield for the exhaust started an annoying drone at 3000 rpm. That really only started after4.5 years.Otherwise there was no rust and no discernable oil consumtion issues. The car still had the oem brake pads etc.On my new 2019 nothing seems any different to the old one performance wise.Very reliable.

my headlite bulbs blew one at a time after about 3 months new, they must have used the thinnest filament wire imaginable, i am sure a saving of 0.00003 cents per car !!!

my heatshield finally gave up about 75,000 km ago....don't miss the noise, lol. my headlights must have been the good ones...still going strong at 250,000+ km. so is the car...uses a bit of oil now but being a 2015 (bought in 2014) and with that mileage, I have no regrets. Just sad that they are no longer available....

I'm sure you can still find a new unsold 2019 if you want to press the "reset" button on your Micra.
