    Headlight replacement

Headlamp replacement used to be an ordeal with my old car; I had to remove the entire headlight assembly, and typically had to spend an extra $25 to replace a stupid plastic retainer that would almost always break. Kudos for Nissan for making this as simple as possible!

In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

It's really quick and easy, I changed both bulbs in literally 5 minutes.

What did you change your bulbs to Mike, the same stock ones?

You can use any H4 bulb, so I chose to order some Yellow H4's from Japan. H4 is a common size for aftermarket fog lights, so bulbs should be very easy to find.

Recently when one headlight bulb burned out we replaced both headlights with Hella Optilux Extreme White XB H4 bulbs, $30 a pair @ Napa Auto Parts. Still within the wiring specs for our 2015 Micra; they emit a bluish white light that seems to light up the road better in bad weather (rain & snow) than the factory bulbs did...

    Nice!
