I'll be surprised if this version comes to Canada, given what's happening to car sales compared to crossover/SUV sales.

I wonder how long Nissan's Mexican factory will continue producing our "old" K13 platform?

They produced the 1990's era Sentra platform for 25 years!

Thread: Nissan Tsuru (Sentra) production reaches the end of the road... after 25 years!

Production stopped. March and Sentra still sold. March is very popular.
Tsuru is still used as a main Taxi vehicle.

They will still bang out the current gen4 econobox as Metro said. Nissan reminds me of Yamaha. Yamaha built the Roadstar 1600/1700 from 1999 to 2015. They did no advertising, no promotion. That is why they ended up not making them after 2015. Sales fell to almost zero. Sales were so slow most dealers had nothing in the showroom after discounting and blowing out even older 2013 and 2014 Roadstars. So here we have Nissan that does not advertise the Micra. Sales have fallen. Sales continue to fall. We will see if they keep them coming if sales continue to fall they may toss the Canadian Micra. I really wish they had called it the March.
With NA going the way of the SUV at the moment, Nissan should have played with the March and called it a micro SUV! LOL

What will be interesting is comparing the sales numbers of the Kicks vs. the Micra and the Versa Note. I've only seen a few months of numbers, but I don't think the Kicks is picking up the sales slack. Maybe because its starting price is SO MUCH MORE expensive, despite being based on the same platform & drivetrain.
