Thanks man. I really gotta quit reading product reviews altogether, waste of time for the most part.

It's no 370Z in the corners, but it's definitely nothing to complain about. Probably best in class, perhaps even better than some in a class above.

When asking the automatic to "Pass" on the highway, it seems to shift as low as it can, revving the engine high, delivering more than enough power for overtaking. With the manual transmission, one can simply shift out of overdrive into the 1:1 gear ratio and find ample power to overtake without all the drama.

In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the power at all and as long as the suspension is not crazy soft I'll be ok with that too. The 2.9K @100 kph bugs me a little although I am well aware that is pretty much par for the course as far as Japanese cars go. (I've owned lots)

I live out in the middle of nowhere dirt roads and old paved roads. I hope the suspension handles these roads and from what i have read in a Montreal review they loved the suspension so that is what i need out of mine I had a wave before and the front end was always going out of wack but I did get 338000 klicks out of her. I should be able to get 500000 klicks out of the Nissan easy lol

If you got 338k out of a Pontiac Wave a.k.a. Chevy Aveo, I would think 500k in the Micra should be no problem!

I drove the Micra in & around Montreal, including on some nasty roads, and the suspension was surprisingly good at soaking up the bumps.
