    Air Filter Condition after 33,000 km

    Is this normally the look of an air filter after 33,000 km of use? BTW, most trips are local and consist of a couple of km in stop and go traffic.

    Yes, I change mine every 15-17K KM and it looks just as crappy.

    Ive been changing mine every second oil change, mass ordered a bunch of filters online so I just swap them out when I do the oil change.

    The PCV valve is behind the air filter and has it's own tiny filter. I doubt that would cause it.

    I have a CAI with catch can between the throttle body and PCV and it is bone dry. Not even any residue in it and I drive the car hard. About 15,000kms on the CAI and catch can setup.

    My recommendation for quality vs. price would just be a compact mishimoto universal catch can or similar.
