    Tanabe Sustec springs installed

    Hi all,

Here are a couple of pics of my '17 Micra SR before and after lowering.

I forgot to take 'before' measurements so I don't know the exact drop in mm. It looks like it's about 30mm-ish as Tanabe states it should be.

The car has a very comfortable ride considering the upgraded handling. It's stiffer but not bouncy or jarring.

The car also feels much more predictable accelerating, braking and cornering. A huge improvement overall and it looks good too.

The shop that did the spring install also did a full alignment and camber adjustment, so I'm now running -0.5 degrees of camber front and they measured -1.5 degrees rear.

The springs are Tanabe Sustec for Micra/March K13, p/n: K13DK. I believe the springs are available overseas only and need to be ordered from Japan.

    Yes indeed, looks very nice.

A week later, still happy with the change? Any adverse effects?

A week later and I'm even more happy with it. Absolutely everything from a driving perspective has vastly improved. The steering is sharper and the car is much more stable at highway speeds. I think looks pretty good too, so that's a nice bonus. I wish I'd put springs in it sooner! I'll try to get some better pics and post them asap. Merry Christmas!

    Same to you!

Glad to hear how happy you are with the change.

I've lowered a couple of cars, and been pleased with the results. It's win-win-win-win. Usually.

As promised, here are some better pics. I think these show the stance a little better. It's also a beautiful Christmas Eve here in Vancouver...
