    Rear wiper motor replacement

    Hi,

I've blown my rear wiper motor and mechanism - the metal fatigued and broke. I need a replacement - do I have to pay the 450$ for the part at the dealership, or can I get a secondhand Versa motor? It's hard to find parts for the micra since it's so new to the market (and only in Canada).

Which part of the motor broke?

I would check with Nissan to see if the part number is the same for the Versa Note hatchback, then start searching auto wreckers. You'll have roughly twice the chance of finding one if they're the same part.

Some of our members have seen Micras in their local junk yards. I'm sure they're available.

FYI: I just tried a parts search from the above link, and it shows a dozen or more rear motors available in Canada, priced from $60 and up.
