Clock-spring, driverside mirror, cupholder, headliner warranty

So had the lights in the steering wheel go out, the driver side mirror is shaking to the point of being unusable, the cupholder component has come loose and rattles, and the headliner popped out and needs repairing.

Clockspring was "replaced" once already and within 2 months same issue happened again.

All being repaired under warranty, but has anyone else had any of these break on their 2015?

Honestly I don't believe Ajax Nissan actually replaced it. It is known around here they're shady. So I could say one tinkered with clock spring, and now a replacement finally.

i always ask for the old parts.....but with warranty work i think there is less of an (legal) obligation to give them to you...they could give you someone elses old parts anyway...

Very true, thats the problem. No way to confirm and as the problem presented the EXACT same way, its either a fleet wide issue OR it was never addressed and they just hit it a few times with a hammer and called it fixed.

Driver side mirror has been replaced twice already. I was going for a third time but they said it's fine and acted like the passenger one which it wasnt. Totaly worse. They asked for a survey and replied back with the problem still there and to come back to look at it again. I didnt have time for them. Then the warrenty went out. Now the cooler weather corrects the issue. But can't be any worse than what I see with these semi trucks. There are times with these trucks I can't even make out anything and I have to guess if that's a car or motorbike with 4 headlights. I never had a problem with my 87 Volkswagen Golf mirror shaking like anything other than the fading mirror itself

If there was an option for them to just deliver the car to my house from the factory and skip the dealership I would have chose that.

Anybody know what the root cause of the mirror problem is?

Good question, I'm getting my car back later today from the replacement, so I will ask and find out for you.

    Perfect! Thanks.

Can you request the old part back on a warranty job?

It might help other owners who face this problem when the car is out of warranty (or if the dealer refuses to fix it). Maybe it's not too hard to repair.

I think it has to do with the spring inside the mirror for turning the mirror in "hinge". If I rotate the mirror in a little, the shaking stops or add a piece of paper or rubber to stiffen up the mirror it also stops shaking
