So Sunday is looking pretty solid for me then :P less rain + if no parade then meh.
4 people so far with a yes - who's going when though?
I'll be headed up Sunday morning to be there for 9ish... meet at timmies before hand for anyone else going?

I will be heading up Saturday as I already registered my tickets in anticipation of the now cancelled parade, not sure if I can switch the days or not. If anyone sees my car in the private parking or sees me and recognises me, please say hi!
I will probably be leaving the GTA to get to CTMP between 0700-0800, gotta pick up friends.

all canadian micra's have the same 3N1CK start to their VIN... so if you wanted to go sunday and are bringing a friend, use their email and name :P just so you don't have two of the same name on the will-call list.

I will be there Friday Saturday and Sunday but did the Nissan ticket thing for Sunday as well. The wreck at the finish line of the nascar trucks is the anticipated moment of the weekend.
I did tickets for Saturday and my friends and I aren't really set to change plans, so I will see whatever action I get then!
The weather on Saturday wasn't that bad. Found the beer garden and hung out there, nice view of the initial turn off the starting line, walk out a little ways into the Marketplace and you're near the pit area as well.
One thing I wish I got a picture of is the Micra Cup booth, they had the internals of the Cup cars open and you could sit in it. It did renew my interest in trying to do I/E mods on my Micra.
Hope Sunday was a blast for those who went.

A driver from Ontario finally won a micra cup race on Sunday which I believe was the 50th micra cup race in series history. Congratulations Jake Exton #00 for finally getting that done. Although I was there every day this weekend other than working the ticket registration I did not stay at the track much and watched the races live on you tube at home because
i am still pretty messed up from my latest surgery. ( Jake Extons 00 car also sports an actual size micra forum decal on the rear hatch glass)

It was a lonely lonely day ...
They actually had security at the entrance for the parking which was cute... they were told to abandon their post at 10am since I was the only one. By 1:30, two Z's had shown up...
At 1:45 the MicraCup truck showed up and they took down all of the Nissan and Micra flags from the fence

The private parking on Saturday was pretty barren as well. There was a 370z and two Datsuns, one other Micra but wasn't a forum member. Still enjoyed it though. For the next one hopefully we can pull a few more members out.
The whole event was poorly attended compared to other years in my opinion. The reality that NASCAR is dead/dying was on full display this weekend here in Canada.
