    No chrome!

I covered the badge and the chrome "V" on the front grill with plastidip, black plastidip of course!

Unfortunately I teared if off a bit when I removed the green tape, which I should never have bought from Dollarama, I'll have to do it over.... but it was the first time I ever used plastidip...

The best way to do it would be to remove the Nissan badge and the chrome "V" (not sure how its called).. but to do that I would have to remove the whole front of the car. I'll do that when I decide to install the fog lights I got from AliExpress.

When I go by really really fast you can't see the bits of chrome left on the "V"

All the stuff I needed to do the job:

    - Black plastidip and glossifier (from Home Depot for about 14$ each)
    - Tooth pick to remove the tape in some tricky places, like behind the badge
    - Q-tips to clean around the edge of the badge
    - Spray bottle for the isopropyl alcohol (to clean the chrome)
    - Green masking tape
    - Blue masking tape with 24 inches of plastic (Scotch)
    - Rubber gloves (you don't wanna plastidip your hands)
    - Box cutter to cut the plastidip from the green tape before removing it
    - 2 hours free (coz it takes about 6 coats of plastidip and about 15 minutes between coats)
    - Couple of ice cold Coronna Cerveza! (to quench your thirst while you wait for the dip to dry)

I didn't use the Glossifier this time because I knew my frist try at plastidipping (is that a word?) was not going to be a real success.... I'll try it on the MICRA badge on the back of the car since its much easier to do than the front. A guy told be that plastidip tends to attract dirt, so a bit of glossifier should make it last a bit longer...

On my car.... Everything that was chrome is now plastidiped black. The front and rear nissan badges, the “V” at the front, and the Emblem on the steering wheel. The only exception... I had black door handles inside the car, I got me Chrome ones at the auto wrecker.
So in a way, everything that was chrome is now black, and what was black is now chrome.

So, if anyone isnt happy with their fancy chrome door handles and wish to have plain black handles. I am willing to part ways with my old handles.

thought about it, but not so sure I love the idea of baking them to soften the glue. Watched my dad do it to my moms magnum headlights to install genuine halos. glued them on and wired them in place.

If I were to do this, I would definitely make sure the halos are in my hands at the same time to install LOL
