Reviewer Dan Heyman qualifies his praise for the car by saying it's good ... in the city ... where it's meant to be used.

I'm glad we have another review that calls out Nissan for high engine RPM at moderate highway speeds. Too many car companies are guilty of this. There's no need for it. Just downshift if you want "passing power" for frick's sake!

Then he says "there's not much power". I assume he has not checked the competition.

Likes...

- attractive starting price
- "pleasant", if plasticky interior
- "surprising" room inside for a small car
- city driving fun, "a marvel"
- responsive steering

Dislikes...

- "not much power"
- no navigation on any trim level
- highway manners "suspect" - crosswind stability
- high engine RPM at highway speeds: noisy, bad for fuel economy

Overall...

...it’s aces where it needs to be, and that’s in town. Add that low low starting price, and the Micra becomes mighty tempting.
